Purpose of Sunday School Lesson:

The purpose of Sunday School is to teach children about the Bible and to help them grow in their faith. In Matthew 5:38-48, Jesus teaches about how to live a good life.

In today’s Sunday School lesson, we looked at the verse, “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” We discussed how being meek can help us in our everyday lives, and how it can help us in our relationships with others. We also looked at how being meek can help us in our spiritual lives, and how it can help us in our relationship with God.

Overview of Matthew 5:38-

In Matthew 5:38-48, Jesus teaches that we should love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. He also says that we should not resist evil, but instead turn the other cheek. These teachings are important, and we should always try to follow them.

Verse 3“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’”

In Matthew 5:38-48, Jesus teaches that we should not retaliate against others. He says that we should instead forgive them and love them. This is because revenge is not a good way to solve problems. It only makes them worse.

If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.”

Recently, I was in a situation where someone slapped me on the right cheek. I turned to them the other cheek, expecting them to do the same. However, they did not react in the same way that I did. They just looked at me with a confused look on their face. I don’t know why they did not react in the same way that I did, but it just shows you that it is important to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Verse 4“And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.”

In Matthew 5:38-48, Jesus tells us to hand over our outer garments if someone wants to sue us. This is to show that we are not trying to hide anything and that we are willing to face any legal consequences. This is also a reminder to be humble and not to put ourselves above others.

Verse 4“If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.”

In today’s Sunday School lesson, we learned about the verse, “If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.” This is a great reminder to always stand up for what is right, and to never let anyone push you around.
