Jesus’s Teachings on the Kingdom of God
Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God is a present reality already at work: “Nor will people say, ‘Look, here it is,’ or ‘There it is.’ For you see, the kingdom of God is in your midst” (Luke 17:21).
Parables
Jesus often used parables to introduce the Kingdom of God. He said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in his field. Although it is the smallest of all seeds, yet it grows into the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches” (Matthew 13:31-32).
