John 9:1-41 Daily Gospel Reflection, Prayer, and Devotion for March 19, 2023

Today’s Gospel reading is taken from John 9:1-41.

“As Jesus walked along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned so that he was born blind? Was it he or his parents?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned; he was born blind so that God’s works might be revealed in him. We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming when no one can work.”

This passage illustrates the importance of doing good in the time we have on earth. We are reminded that our lives are not predetermined by fate but rather determined by our actions and by putting our trust in God. This parable teaches us to focus on what matters most – blessing others with your love and service – as we journey through life in pursuit of fulfilling God’s will.
