Choose Apparel That Makes You Feel Comfortable
Your appearance is an outward reflection of your inner confidence and comfort level. When choosing an outfit for church or any other youth ministry outings, be sure that it is something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Avoid wearing items that are too tight or too loose, as these can often be distracting (and are sometimes uncomfortable). Pay attention to how fabrics move with your body’s movements—it should complement rather than hinder them.
Focus On Quality Over Quantity
Investing in quality pieces of clothing will go much farther than buying cheaply made items that won’t stand up over time, or worse yet, fall apart after several washings. Invest in quality jackets, trousers, sweaters, shoes, and accessories that fit well and flatter your shape—they will last longer and give you more mileage for your dollar!

When selecting an outfit for youth gatherings, try to stick with solid colors such as blues, blacks, browns, and creams which exude sophistication without screaming “youth pastor.” These classic tones will help you appear polished but not overly formal.
